Here's a quick guide to Wheatland's most noteworthy murals so that you can plan your day in this exciting city. Wheatland Roller Mill Co. Mural Many of the murals that you'll see in Wheatland were created by the Platte County Art Guild, and this includes the Wheatland Roller Mill Co. Mural. You can find this mural on the side of a Ninth Street gym. Its purpose is to memorialize a historic flour mill that operated in this community from the late 1800s until 1931. The Wheatland Roller Mill Co. mural took over 10 years to complete, and it was a collaborative effort from over 35 artists. The mural depicts the exterior of the flour mill, as well as horse-drawn carriages passing in front of the building. Next to the mural is a painted plaque that lists the names of the artists and donors who supported the painting of this mural. more Globe Hotel Mural The great thing about the murals in Wheatland is that they give a sense of the town's long and interesting history. For instance, the Globe Hotel mural depicts what was once the center of life in this community. The Globe Hotel was a gathering spot in the community for citizens to discuss important current events, and you can find a mural depicting this historic spot on the corner of Gilchrist and Eighth Streets. Bucking Bronco Mural When you think of the Old West, you think of Wyoming, and one of the murals in Wheatland reflects this interesting time in American history. The Bronco mural, which is on the south side of Walnut Street, shows the silhouette of a cowboy riding a bucking bronco. Behind the man and his horse are the towering mountains for which Wyoming is known. Spend a few minutes examining this mural, and you'll get a sense of the frontier spirit that makes Wyoming one of the most interesting states in the entire country. 3 Tasty Local BBQ Restaurants in Cheyenne, WY

Cheyenne, the capital of Wyoming, is a city that loves its barbecue, and there are plenty of local restaurant options in town. Check out these three barbecue restaurants in the area. Tasty Bones BBQ & Bakery Tasty Bones BBQ & Bakery is one of the highest rated and most popular barbecue spots in town. The menu is loaded with specialty options you won't find at any other restaurant, such as Hog Fries — pulled pork–topped fries with barbecue sauce — and lumpia, which is a Filipino egg roll. But these are just the appetizers. You can get a sandwich, barbecue platter, or some Filipino cuisine for your entrée. If you're coming for meat, try the St. Louis Ribs or Pulled Pork platters. The Cheyenne Burger or Hog Trough are good choices for sandwiches. Aside from amazing barbecue and Filipino options, one thing that sets Tasty Bones BBQ & Bakery apart is the fact that you can order a custom cake or cupcakes here. If you just want dessert to go with your meal, try the banana pudding or mud cake. Halo-Halo and Leche Flan are also available. The shop offers catering services, as well. You can find Tasty Bones BBQ & Bakery at 4533, 1719 Central Ave. in Cheyenne. The shop opens daily at 11 a.m. It closes at 8 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays. It closes at 2 p.m. every Sunday. AB BBQ AB BBQ is another popular and top-rated option in the city, but you have to be in town at the right time — the shop is only open from April to October. If you're visiting during this time, you'll certainly want to stop by this unassuming restaurant to enjoy some exceptional barbecue. The menu is straightforward. You can get half- or quarter-pounds of beef or pork or half- or full-racks of ribs. Pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches are also available. Each meal comes with two sides, sauce, and bread. Homemade desserts are made nightly, so the selection varies. AB BBQ is part of A.B. Camping in Cheyenne — an RV park and campground. The park is at 1503 W College Dr., and you can find the barbecue joint across from the main office. You can get a meal here from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., on any day except Sundays, when the shop is open for the season. Meat @ Kennison's Meat @ Kennison's is another casual barbecue option in Cheyenne. You can order a BBQ Bowl, which includes a slow-roasted meat with mashed potatoes, sweet corn, and onions with red BBQ sauce. Your other barbecue entrée options are a Single Plate, a Date Plate, or The Trough. The latter is a family-sized special that includes three eight-ounce portions of beef, pork, or turkey. You also get four sides, two biscuits, and two slices of cornbread with this order. Find Meat @ Kennison's at 3405 County Road 215. It's open Tuesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Make sure you bring an appetite with you the next time you're passing through Wyoming's capital. Dodge accessories in Wheatland, wy

Best Accessories for Dodge SUVs and Crossovers

Dodge SUVs and crossovers are known for their high quality and for providing tons of utility. But did you know that you can get even more out of these already exceptional vehicles? This is possible through accessories, whether you want something to make the vehicle more practical, stylish, or comfortable. Check out these additions for Dodge SUVs and Crossovers and see why they're useful. Roof Racks and Carriers Many Dodge SUVs and crossovers have side roof rails, which is excellent for adding a roof-mounted cargo container to your vehicle. You can get more utility out of your vehicle, for example, with additional roof racks and carriers. For example, J-style carriers are designed specifically for kayaks and are a must if you want to carry multiple kayaks on your roof or don't have a center rail to put the watercraft on. Similarly, you can find racks designed specifically for snowboards and skis. This is another must if you want to carry this type of equipment using a rack designed to retain this type of gear safely and without damaging your vehicle's paint. All-Weather Liners It's easy to ignore how important floor mats are in a car, but the first time you try to climb into your SUV or crossover with muddy boots, you'll wish you had all-weather mats. These are a must for anybody who plans to get outdoors with their Dodge. These use a different type of material than the standard cloth mats, so you can remove them and hose them down whenever they get dirty. This is useful since other materials don't come clean so easily. Don't stop with your floor mats, though. If you're planning on loading the trunk space of your SUV with equipment, you can get a special all-weather liner made for that area. This way, you can haul outdoor gear, get it as muddy as you want, and not have to worry about staining your interior when you head home. Vacuum If you have kids or plan on frequently road tripping in your Dodge, there's no avoiding an eventual mess. This is especially true if your adventures will take you anywhere you might track dirt back into your vehicle. You can preserve the interior by cleaning messes quickly using a vacuum made for SUVs and crossovers. Organizers Organizers are a great way to keep your car from getting messy and can be a lifesaver if you plan on camping, fishing, or doing any other outdoor activity. These come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from boxes and totes that fit in the trunk of your SUV or crossover to bags that hang behind the driver's or passenger's seat. These accessories can totally change your experience behind the wheel of a new or used Dodge, and many of them are available to add when you're building your vehicle. When you visit Bob Ruwart Motors to check out the inventory or go for a test drive, ask about these and other available accessories to help you get more from your ride. Image via Flickr by Hugo-90

2018 buick enclave

4 Reasons to Love the 2018 Buick Enclave

The 2018 Buick Enclave is one of many options for a new SUV. So why pick this make and model? Consider these four reasons why drivers choose this exceptional vehicle. Utility Inside and out, the new Enclave is loaded with utility. Two of the main benefits of an SUV are interior space and towing capacity, and you can certainly get these perks from this make and model. The vehicle sits seven people, so the interior is clearly spacious. Even with the seats up, you've got 23.6 cubic feet of cargo space to work with. You can fold the seats down, though, to get more room. This configuration gives you 97.6 cubic feet of cargo volume. This is good news if you've got a big family or plan on hauling lots of gear around, but ample interior space is only one area where the Enclave's utility excels. The vehicle can also tow up to 1,500 pounds — not enough for a large boat or something like a horse trailer, but plenty to get some kayaks or canoes to the lake or go glamping. Off-Road Capabilities You don't have to stick to paved roads in the 2018 Enclave. Much like its towing capacity, the vehicle is limited in where you can go off-road. Deep sand or mud, for example, is best left to more rugged options. But this SUV can take you to secluded beach spots or down unpaved mountain roads where you can find some peace and quiet. Plus, with premium ride suspension, you can explore in extraordinary comfort when you drive this vehicle. Luxury So, with modest utility and off-roading abilities, why go with the Enclave over something that delivers more in those categories? Simple: Luxury. The Enclave is a fantastic choice if you plan on taking advantage of the Enclave's utility, don't want to go mudding or bouldering, and also plan to use your vehicle as a commuter. The advantages of the Enclave's luxury are clear once you get behind the wheel. The SUV has premium seating materials, wood tones, and chrome accents. Both the first and second rows have leather-appointed seats. This vehicle also uses unique QuietTuning technology to drown out exterior noises. For ultimate luxury, upgrade to the Premium or Avenir trims. Both come with second row heated seats and ventilated driver and front passenger seats. Buick's infotainment system with navigation is exclusive to the Avenir. This premium trim also gets a power dual moonroof. Safety The 2018 Enclave is available in four trims: 1SV, Essence, Premium, and Avenir. The 1SV comes with basic safety features, such as electronic traction control and LED daytime running lamps. Additional active safety features are available on the higher trims. For example, the Essence, Premium, and Avenir have lane change alert with side blind zone alert and rear cross traffic alert. The Enclave is a fantastic vehicle that's best experienced in person. Check out the models available at Bob Ruwart Motors, including the 2018 Enclaves, and take one for a test drive to see firsthand how well Buick has blended power, utility, and luxury. You're Going to Love the 2018 Chevrolet Suburban

When it comes to spacious, capable, and dependable family SUVs, very few vehicles have made a name for themselves like the iconic Chevrolet Suburban. People shopping for their next family vehicle often naturally gravitate toward the Suburban simply because it's so well-known for providing buyers with exactly what they're looking for, and the 2018 Chevrolet Suburban is no exception. A Big Engine for Big Power The 2018 Chevrolet Suburban comes standard with a powerful 5.3-litre EcoTec3 V-8 engine. This engine provides you with an astounding 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. All of that adds up to a towing capacity that maxes out at a whopping 8,300 lbs. If you think all of that power is going to suck down fuel at an alarming rate, think again. The 2018 Suburban boasts an impressive 16 mpg on city streets and up to 23 mpg on highways. Those numbers may not seem like much but, when you consider you're looking at a full-size SUV with a V-8 engine, they're actually pretty impressive. more More Room Than You'll Know How to Use Most people look at vehicles this large because size is important to them. Whether you're concerned with making room for a large family or you need to maximize your cargo space, the 2018 Suburban has you more than covered. With seating that can fit eight passengers comfortably, you'll have a hard time finding enough people to fill this SUV to capacity. Cargo space is equally as impressive, starting at 39.3 cubic feet with all of the rear seats up. Depending on how much additional space you need though, you can configure your rear seats to provide up to a maximum of 121.7 cubic feet. If you need much more than that, you may need to consider renting a moving van for the weekend. Connectivity for Everyone When it comes to connected mobile technologies, it's virtually impossible to please everybody due to the variable nature of devices like smartphones and built-in infotainment systems. The 2018 Chevrolet Suburban addresses this issue by providing multiple levels of onboard connectivity. If you'd like to use the vehicle's built-in interface, you'll have instant access to Bluetooth connectivity and available onboard navigation. If you'd like to access the navigation and streaming apps on your phone, however, this is also made possible thanks to support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Once you've paired your smartphone of choice to the Suburban, you'll be able to access all of your favorite apps through the vehicle's touch-screen interface, making life a lot easier for people who prefer Android or iOS connectivity. There is no denying that the Suburban is one of the most recognized names in full-sized SUVs and there's a good reason for that. The 2018 Chevrolet Suburban more than lives up to its name and, if you haven't checked one out for yourself lately, you're going to want to head to a local Chevy dealership to take one out for a test drive as soon as you get a chance. All Aboard for These 4 Cheyenne Railroad Attractions

Cheyenne got its start back in 1867 when the Union Pacific Railroad passed through on its way to the west. Many of the first residents of Cheyenne were men who moved to the area to work on the railroad, and then many of them moved away when that work was completed. The railroad is an important part of Cheyenne's history, and there are several attractions in the area where you can learn about it and have some fun at the same time. All aboard for these Cheyenne railroad attractions. Cheyenne Depot Museum The Cheyenne Depot Museum showcases the story of the Union Pacific Railroad from the very beginning of construction. Visit the museum to see the Union Pacific Main Yard, take part in one of the many educational programs, and then head up to the second floor to see the narrow gauge model railroad with the handcrafted scenery. Created by Harry S. Brunk, this model railroad has been on over 100 different magazine covers and features the Union Central and Northern Railroads. more Big Boy Steam Engine Cheyenne is the final resting place of the Big Boy Steam Engine. Known as Old Number 4004, this retired steam engine is an incredible site. It is one of the largest steam locomotives, and it could pull a 3600-ton train over the steam mountains leading from Cheyenne to Ogden, Utah. This steam engine is one of only eight Big Boys still in existence in the country. You'll find Old Number 4004 on Morrie Avenue in Holliday Park in Cheyenne. It is currently covered for renovations, so make sure to check on its status before visiting. Engine 1242 Engine 1242 is one of the oldest steam engines in Wyoming. Known as Ol' Sadie, this engine ran on the Walcott-Saratoga-Encampment branch line starting in 1921. It ran until 1952 when the Union Pacific Railroad retired it and donated it to the city. You can visit Engine 1242 at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens in Lions Park. It sits in the park surrounded by a train folk art fence created by Floyd Young Sr. who was the last engineer to drive Ol' Sadie. There are signs along the fence that tell her story, and in the concrete walkway around the fence, you can see all the major stops made by the trains in their day. The Ames Monument & Sherman Hill Make sure to visit the Ames Monument, a 60-foot tall granite pyramid located in Buford, Wyoming. Organizers dedicated the monument to Oakes and Oliver Ames, the two brothers from Massachusetts who were a big part of the construction of the first Transcontinental Railroad. Oakes was in control of the railroad's construction, and Oliver became the president of the Union Pacific Railroad. The monument sits on the highest point on the Transcontinental Railroad and serves as a reminder of what once was. You'll find this railroad attraction in Sherman Hill located off the I-80. Whether you are a fan of railroads or just interested in the history of the area, these are some of Cheyenne's railroad themed attractions that you shouldn't miss. https://www.flickr.com/photos/nostri-imago/2897925156/sizes/l Image via Flickr by cliff1066TM

Bob Ruwart Motors - The 2019 Chevy Silverado Is the Truck You've Always Wanted

Pickup fans have always loved the Chevrolet Silverado. For 20 years, this full-size truck has been one of the most dependable on the market. Truck lovers all over the country are eagerly anticipating the new revision, and for good reason the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado is shaping up to be a real treat. Eight Different Trims The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado might be a few months away, but you can already get a sneak peek at the eight different trims that will be available. These are the High Country, LTZ, LT Trail Boss, RST, LT, Custom Trail Boss, Custom, and WT models. While even the base trim will be a fully capable, incredibly robust pickup with best-in-class cargo box volume, the higher levels of trim will up the ante with additional features. These will range from extra off-road equipment, such as a two-inch suspension lift, to cosmetic styling, such as chrome accents and body-color styling themes. Redesigned for 2019 You won't mistake the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado for any other pickup, but you're also sure to notice some tweaks to the truck's design. The manufacturer has introduced a bolder bumper, thinner headlights, and more aerodynamic body sculpting when compared to last year's model. The truck itself is also constructed from mixed materials, including 80 percent high-strength steel, which allows it to weigh in at about 450 pounds lighter than the 2018 Silverado. Despite this lower weight, the truck is actually longer than the previous design, which means that it affords more room to accommodate passengers and cargo. Engine Choices Depending on which trim you choose, you'll get one of two engines in the 2019 Chevy Silverado. The first is a 5.3-liter V8 engine that produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The second engine is a bit more powerful; it's a 6.2-liter V8 that can generate up to 425 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. These engines should result in similar performance to the 2018 model, but they should offer greater fuel efficiency as a result of Chevrolet's automatic engine start/stop technology. Chevrolet has also suggested that additional powertrain options might be revealed later this year, including a hybrid option to reduce your impact on the environment. Availability and Pricing If you're just as eager as we are to get your hands on the 2019 Chevy Silverado, rest assured that you won't have to wait very long. Chevrolet has indicated they plan to make the pickup available in late 2018. The manufacturer has yet to announce any pricing details, but industry experts expect to see the base trim starting at an MSRP of around $29,000. The highest levels of trim may cost between $60,000 and $70,000. Naturally, you'll be able to check out the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado right here at Bob Ruwart Motors as soon as it becomes available. The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado is sure to be a hit with truck enthusiasts everywhere. As the new pickup's release date gets closer, we expect to see even more exciting details revealed. Thanks to the city's growing reputation for innovation, new restaurants and cafes are popping up all the time. Here are some of our favorites. Central Cafe This charming little cafe first opened its doors in February 2018, making it one of Cheyenne's newest additions. You'll feel right at home in the cafe's clean interior with attractive décor and plenty of natural sunlight. You can choose from a number of affordable menu options here. Enjoy avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, turkey and avocado sandwiches, and Italian wraps all for under $10. If you're in a rush, pick up something to go through the convenient drive-through window. But if you've got time to spare, bring your laptop along and enjoy a hot cup of coffee while you surf the internet or do some work on the cafe's free Wi-Fi. more The Paramount Ballroom While you've probably already heard of the popular Paramount Cafe, which has long been a favorite of Cheyenne's coffee lovers, you may not have heard of the associated Paramount Ballroom. This restaurant opened last summer, and it's attached to the main cafe building. The Paramount Ballroom differentiates itself from the cafe by specializing in hand-crafted cocktails, small plates, and appetizers. Naturally, the variety of specialty drinks is pretty impressive, but the food lineup is also worth your attention. Some of the highlights include deviled eggs, a crostini sampler, artichoke dip served with vegetables and chips, and roasted fingerling potatoes. Mr. Jim's Pizza This popular pizza chain just opened a second location in Cheyenne this summer. The restaurant is located on Laramie Street, and it's a great place to get a quick and delicious bite to eat. The pizzeria's menu includes creative pies like the Beddar Cheddar Burger and the Cheddar Fajita Chicken Pizza, as well as more familiar offerings like a Pepperoni Deluxe or Three Cheese Pizza. Of course, you can also order a specialty pizza that will be crafted exactly according to your tastes. Available toppings include — but are certainly not limited to — extra cheese, anchovies, artichokes, sriracha, pepperoni, meatballs, fajita-seasoned chicken, onions, peppers, pineapples, and more. The Donut Shop on Central If you've got a sweet tooth, look no further than The Donut Shop on Central. This bakery used to be known as Daylight Donut, but they re-branded and relocated in June. Whether you prefer donuts of the cake-based or yeast-based variety, and whether you like your donuts frosted with icing and sprinkles or with a sweet fruit jam inside, you'll find something to love at this little shop. The menu isn't limited to donuts, either; don't miss The Donut Shop's apple fritters, which are virtually bursting with sweetness and flavor. As Cheyenne's dining scene expands and grows, you can expect to see a lot of exciting new restaurants opening their doors. Visit one of these choices today to be a part of this culinary renaissance.
