The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that utilizes regenerative braking and a stop/start engine that provides for smooth shifting.
If you are looking for a little more power than the 4-cylinder engine can provide, you can choose a 3.6-liter, V-6 engine that outputs 285 horsepower.
Improved Handling
The new Jeep handles crisply, allowing it to be more than capable during any off-roading adventure. It features reversed suspension tuning that allows a more comfortable ride than previous years’ models. You also gain more precision with new electrohydraulic steering. The new Wrangler is perfect for cruising the beaches but is also capable of traversing even the most difficult trails.
A Stylish Look
While it is hard to improve on such an already iconic design, Jeep has made some subtle changes that have elevated the design even more. The classic badge has moved from the face to the fenders to give the front a cleaner look. The rounded headlights touching either end of the distinctive grille and LED turn signals provide a sleek and modern design. The rear view gets an updated look as well with squared taillights.
You can opt for the traditional soft canvas top combined with a foldable windshield that is now quicker to breakdown and reinstall. You can also opt to customize your Jeep with body-colored or traditional black hardtops, choose from one of seven different wheel styles, or add from a variety of accessories or upgrades.
Added Interior Features
The upgrades don’t stop at the exterior. The newest model has upgraded comfort and convenience features as well. The power-retractable Sky One-Touch soft-top allows you to easily enjoy a starlit sky or make the necessary interior light adjustment. The interior also features soft-touch, quality fabrics throughout, volume and tuning controls on the rear of the steering wheel, and rear headrests that fold down to provide the driver with greater visibility.
Better Safety
The high-strength steel frame is paired with seat-mounted, front side airbags, to provide you protection in the event an accident occurs. The Jeep also offers many of the newest technological safety features such as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, and an ABS system that can detect when the roads get rough.
