The upmarket Buick brand offers a luxury feel and high-tech features at surprisingly reasonable prices, making it a great option for car buyers who want to spend a little extra to get a lot more comfort. That’s certainly true of the Buick Envision, a compact crossover with a lot to offer. Some of changes implemented in 2019 include a new nine-speed automatic transmission and improved technology features. One area where the Envision shines is its versatility, and it’s all thanks to features like these.
Space for What You Need
The 2019 Envision gives you 26.9 cubic feet of cargo space in the back. That’s twice as much space as you’d get from an average compact sedan. If you need even more room, you can fold down the back row and double your storage space to 57.5 cubic feet. You can also customize the amount of space you allot to cargo and passengers thanks to the 60/40 split back row. In fact, these seat backs don’t just fold down. They can also recline.
Functional Center Console
The new Envision’s center console is more than just a touch screen and a few storage spaces. For one thing, the touch screen comes with a set of buttons and dials that are easy to locate and use without having to look away from the road and has a separate set of controls for the climate control system. The center stack has a large storage box and a thin opening for your smartphone, and if you get a model with tri-zone climate control the back row gets its own set of controls and USB charging ports.
Engine and Drive Options
The standard 2019 Envision comes with a 2.5-liter engine that offers good fuel efficiency numbers and 197 horsepower. However, if that’s not enough power for you, the top trims come with a 2.0-liter turbo model that can get up to 252 horsepower. This engine also comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and the extra gears make the Envision more efficient and help it accelerate smoothly. Most of the Envision’s models are also available with all-wheel drive, a feature that gives you much better traction on slippery roads.
Driver Information Center
Depending on the trim, your 2019 Buick Envision will either have a 4.2-inch Driver Information Center (DIC) between the gauges or an 8-inch DIC that replaces them. This screen adds versatility because you can customize the display to whatever format you want, plus it offers all the functions of the older model. This means you can see things like your average trip speed, your projected gas mileage, the tire pressure, and more.
